Popular oil seeds and grains are wheat, canola, alfalfa, barley, flax, rye, oats, soybeans. Central Canada produces about 70% of milk production and is under a supply management system as well are poultry and eggs. Micro climates provide distinct advantages for fruits and vegetables including grapes for wine production, maple syrup, mustard seed, grass seed, honey production.
