Harvest Travel International
Harvest Travel International, producers of Farmer-to-Farmer® Tours, a registered service mark of the U.S. Government, is located in Oakland, California, USA. It is a 32 year-old group agricultural tour company that has its roots in the California Farm Bureau Federation.
Carol Bauer, Harvest Travel International's president, was a member of the California Farm Bureau’s travel service staff from 1975 to 1984. During those years, she was responsible for developing and overseeing the inbound tour division. From the mid-1950s until 1984, California Farm Bureau Federation was the leader in sending groups of American farmers and official government trade missions abroad; in addition, it was among the first to welcome visiting official delegations and farmer groups to the United States in the mid-1970s, to experience first-hand our extraordinary agricultural production that extends from east to west, and from north to south, across our fair land. Harvest Travel International's Inbound Division closed as of June 2020.
From 1984 to the present, Harvest Travel International has carried on the Farm Bureau tradition of customizing trips that promote the personal exchange of innovative ideas and friendship among farmers and agribusiness men and women from around the world.
